Players take on the role of Kyle Reese as he time-travels back to 1984 Los Angeles to protect Sarah Connor, mother of John Connor, the leader of the worldwide Resistance against the machines. Most of the gameplay is of the side-scrolling platformer variety, wherein Kyle must climb ladders and leap from platform to platform to progress.
