Gargoyle’s Quest II

In this prequel to the Game Boy original, Firebrand is sent to investigate an evil black light that has descended on the land and defeat the perpetrator, King Breager. The game is predominantly a side-scrolling platformer, interspersed with a top-down RPG overworld which acts as a vehicle to progress the story. Immediately you’re hit by a quality soundtrack and then double-whammied with sumptuous graphics; Firebrand is particularly well animated.
