Super R-Type

Strap into the cockpit of an R-9 fighter and save mankind by battling the evil BYDO empire in this pulse-pounding horizontal shooter. Players start the game with three R-9 ships and must fight their way through seven fairly long stages, each ending with a boss battle. Core gameplay revolves around dodging environmental hazards and enemy fire while collecting missile and laser upgrades from destroyed red and blue Power Armors, respectively.
