Faxanadu

In this side-scrolling action-RPG, it’s up to you to defeat the Evil One and save the Elves from the Dwarfs, who were transformed and driven insane by a poison meteorite. You face monsters such as levitating bird men, wandering tentacles, flying phantoms, and skeletal hounds. Fortunately, there are hospitals to heal you, and tool shops located in and around the many towns of the World Tree sell weapons, armor, shields, and magic.
