Hi,
AwakenHelper works fine when it needs to wake up my macbook and the screen is open. When the screen is closed it won't start up. Is there a workaround?

Thanks

Uggh! I downgraded back to 4. Everything that set Awaken apart from it's competition for me was lost in version 5. This doesn't update play counts, dates, skips, nor does it play live streaming radio. Editing alarm functions are hidden while an alarm is playing for no good reason. As for the iOS look, this is a Macintosh! Let it act like a Mac app please!

Why was awaken helper decoupled from the Awaken app? I updated to awaken 5, not knowing that I needed a separate installer now for this functionality, and it caused me to miss my morning alarm when my Mac failed to wake up. I'm sure you had good reasons for this decision, but from where I'm sitting I can't see any positives to it. It's less user-friendly and incurs greater management overhead (in the form of needing Sparkle updates separately).

I'm running Awaken 5.0.1 and AwakenHelper 5.0.1 and I have a recurring alarm (to go to work!) that only goes off one time. How can I get Awaken 4 back so that I can get something that actually works?

Hi,

I like Awaken and its new interface. However, I would have very much preferred it would still play in iTunes. The main reason is the enormous difference in volume and dynamics/compression in sound between various songs. In iTunes I use a plugin (Volume Logic) for this, but in Awaken it's either too soft to wake up or I start the day with a bang. I really don't need another musicplayer.

A second request I would like to make is adding the option in the sleeptimer to shut down my Mac at the end.

Repairing radiostreams and Airtunes in the next update is great news!

Regards,

Awaken is now wakening me at the time I need to get up but is launching two feeds. One Radio station and one iTunes selection (i.e. iTunes DJ)
What's up w/ that?

Hi,
Even if you obviously put a lot of work in the new version of Awaken and even if the design is great I'm currently really disapointed about it.
- I miss the internet radio streaming capability.
- The application always crash when trying to stop the music.
- The volume control is not working properly like it does in previous version.

I must say that I'm disapointed to learn only by coming to this blog that Awaken is no more linked to Itunes. It was working really well for me.
The lack of information when upgrading to version 5 is a disapointment for me.
Ok, I maybe need to think twice before upgrading a program that is working well for me. Nevertheless those crucial changes and lack of previously working functionalities should be documented and communicated to the user before leting them upgrade.

As Awaken is not doing the job properly in his current state I would like to downgrade to previous version 4. Is it possible to do that?

Of course I will be glad to use back version 5 once it will be running correctly from my point of view.
