This is our first “Quick Update” post – we’ll be doing these quick update entries when there is a little bit of news to share which doesn’t quite fit into the 140 character limit of a tweet…
As mentioned in the Road Map Update, we are holding off on releasing Awaken 6 until we are able to test it with iTunes 11 – which is expected to be released next week.
Along with an updated user interface and new features, Awaken 6 is going to deliver bug fixes for two reported issues. The first is a visual bug which occurs when alarms are being played on Macs with Retina displays. Here is an example:
The other bug causes the Awaken preferences window to be blank on some Macs.
Instead of having you wait for Awaken 6, we just rolled these fixes into a minor version update – version 5.0.8. If you’re using the non-Mac App Store version of Awaken you can get this update now by selecting “Check for Updates…” on the Awaken menu. If you’re using the Mac App Store version of Awaken you’ll see these update become available once Apple approves it (we submitted it for review a few days ago).
Please let us know if you are experiencing any other issues so that we can ensure Awaken 6 is bug free on launch.
