Awaken 1.2 for iPhone and iPod touch is now available in the App Store
We’d like to thank all of the beta testers who volunteered to test during the development process of the Awaken 1.2 update!
We’ll be continuing this practice with all future updates as well.
New Features
We have added 2 new clock styles (“Classic LCD” and “8-bit”) bringing the total of styles up to 6.
Landscape support has been added to alarm and sleep timer playback.
3 new flashlight options join the classic white screen
- compact fluorescent bulb (eco-friendly)

Shake your iPhone to toggle the flashlight on/off

Looks nice but my chosen alarm clock app is aWake!Simply . Why? because unlike other developers he doesn’t just focux on the english speakers. There is a version for me here in Germany (and its a good app).

I”ve yet to find an app that will chime on the hour and the half hour. I am not seeing that this app does that (or any other app out there either).
Since these days, many of us are using our iphones as wristwatches, it would be wonderful to be able to know when the hour or half hour has comes by a brief short chime like my old timex watch used to do that is almost un-noticeable in the background. That way, I don’t have to pull my iphone out of it’s case to look at the time every so often.
I would also like to suggest that someone out there create a web page such that people like me who do not have the ability to create an iphone app can at least go to a web site where they can “request an certain iphone app” thereby helping developers with different ideas. As well, others who read app suggestions can register their votes of support for the different ideas.

I’ve got to be honest.
Awaken is by the best alarm-clock-program I’ve used in a long, long time.
My simple question is as follows:
I use Spotify a lot and therefore I wonder if Awaken will ever be able to support this?
