Awaken 4 is bringing some functionality with color by allowing you to specify a color for each core function.
For example, you can set your alarms to be bright white text, and have the sleep timer set to display content in a darker color like maroon. A specific color can be set for the general main window clock, alarms, egg timer, and sleep timer.
To illustrate we have a video of the egg timer displaying each of the colors.

This is more to do with the full screen Front Row type view that you showed a couple of days ago. When I set a Sleep Timer or an Egg Timer, I like to use Front Row to listen until I go to sleep.
Can you add an option to close Front Row (or iTunes) right before the computer goes to sleep? or right before the Egg Timer goes off. Go to sleep with a full screen Front Row and wake up with a full screen Front Row like alarm.
Side note, I love the Menu Bar function. If enabled, does it still show up in the dock. I would prefer that it does not.
Keep up the good work!

I love all new features in Awaken 4.0, but when will it EVER be released?

@Georgie - I’m glad that you approve
Fullscreen mode will be demoed in a new post tomorrow if all goes well.
@Jose - We will be starting Awaken development for the iPhone as soon as Apple released the SDK in February.
@Ross - There is a preference you can set in Awaken 4 to exit FrontRow at alarm/egg/sleep time. Regarding the menubar function I’ll expand on that more later.
@Jamie - A feature complete beta is getting close. I’ve been posting the development progress on the blog here to give an indication of how far I am with it. Since this is a total rewrite there is no Awaken 3 bits left around to fill in the gaps. This is all new.
