UPDATE: The screenshot has been updated since the original posting - see below.
First I’d like to thank everyone for the awesome feedback on the previous post via comments and e-mail. I had planned to have a follow up post sooner than this. I’ve spent the past 2 weeks doing a lot of across-the-board coding on Awaken which didn’t have anything visual to show in a blog post - but instead will reveal itself when you use Awaken 4 and witness the improved performance.
Today we have a screenshot of the main Awaken 4 window where you can see the updated UI and cleaned up alarm list.

In the alarm list you can see 3 of the alarm types coming with Awaken 4: iTunes, Sound, and Task.
We made the time stand out more to prevent it from being easily overlooked.
The time for the next scheduled alarm is now displayed beneath the alarm listing.
All references to dates and times are now displayed in the proper language and format to match your settings in the Mac OS X System Preferences (no more need to enable/disable 24-hour mode for example - Awaken uses your system settings).
Comments and questions are welcomed!

Looking good. I noticed the fixed Zzz… button. It’s still bugging me, but not for long.

Dude
Looking Good.
Let me test that for you.

It’d be great to see a feature that would allow you to select which audio source you want to play the alarm through. That way, I could make the speakers next to my bed wake me up - rather then the ones across the room.

@Ross - I’m assuming that you are referring to the audio sources available in iTunes when using AirTunes - correct? I’ll see what’s possible there.

Jerry, Ross’ idea is fantastic please try to get that feature in. Also, can you please consider playing live streams as the alarm or is that already possible through iTunes.
Looking beautiful so far.

Hi Jerry,
unfortunately, switching speakers in itunes so far is possible via gui scripting only. I played around doing so and I believe it is sort of reliable. E.g. the “remote buddy” people have that feature right now, so maybe you can get in contact there and check out, how they did it - but I believe they also just programmed a mouse gui script.
great app, anyways, although not too stable unter leopard, yet.

@Jerry,
Not only the AirTunes speaker functionality, but separate output channels connected to the machine, e.g. a Firewire audio interface, that perhaps would route to a secondary pair of speakers in another room, rather than the primary speakers in the same room as the computer.
Otherwise looking great!
