Awaken 3 was released tonight. Click here for all of the details and download link on the updated Awaken page.
Thanks to everyone who have helped out in the beta process by testing and submitting bugs.
Tomorrow I’ll be evaluating features for the next version (3.1). We have lots more to come for Awaken as well as other new apps.
Tonight we also added some merchandise to the store page on the site. Click here to view what we have available.
Thanks again to everyone!

Awesome man… I love your app (which is why I bought it). I was wondering the wallpaper on the front page if you were going to release a version of that that I could use as a wall paper for my one MBP. Thanks

Hey JB,
Thanks for buying a copy of Awaken! About the wallpaper - are you talking about the wavy blue background art? If so, yeah I’ll certainly make a wallpaper/desktop image of it. I was planning on creating some free Awaken/Embraceware wallpaper to have here for download - I’ll start with that one. You’ll find in here in a day or so.

Yeah, good work on the 3.0 release. You’ve built a great little app!

Nice release!
But, I miss one thing — ability to wake computer from powered down state (from shutdown). I turn off computer overnight. Aurora have this option (automatic user login must be enabled). When and if this is done, I’ll buy it.

Hi Sime - you can expect this in the next release (3.1).

hey jerry you’ve done a really good job with awaken 3. I love it. but i’m wondering where the “current iTunes selection” option in the playlists menu for sleep times is?? it will be just perfect if it will be back again in the next release

Love the new alarm … it has yet to crash on me, which is great because I used to have the multiple snooze bug and well, as you can imagine, that caused some interesting mornings.
While probably only cosmetic, would it be possible to show the (or have the option to include) seconds for the time? Sometimes I wake up moments before my alarm, and because I can’t tell how many seconds are left, well, those seconds seem like an eternity. Even if you don’t buy that excuse, would it be possible anyway? Thanks, and keep up the great work!

is there any chance that in 3.1 we’ll be able to set the egg timer mearly to set off one of the backup alarm tones so that it doesn’t have to launch iTunes and doesn’t go full-screen? I love the app by the way! I can’t wait to see what you do next!

Hey,
I’ve now been using Awaken since almost a month (and thus been woken up to “I’ve got you babe” every morning..) and I’m very happy with it. There is only one thing that bugs me, and it’s a small bug (pun intended). Awaken never wants to remember that I’ve allowed it to enble alarms even when the program isn’t running, and that is a wee bit annoying, really. Hope ypu can fix this for the next version. Keep up the great work! (Running 10.3.9, Awaken 3.0)

I am very much interested in purchasing Awaken, but have one request. I would actually like to set what is currently identified as a backup alarm as the primarily alarm. I like having the option of awaking to music, but might find that too soothing. I would like to be able to have the “Beep, Beep, Beep” of a normal alarm clock.
Oh…Is there a way to select a particular song or just a playlist?

Hi David - Happy New Year!
The request that you have will be in version 3.1 - I hope to have a beta of 3.1 completed by the end of this week if all goes well. It will let you create alarms using the built in alarms sounds instead of using iTunes. More features are coming as well - I’ll be making a blog post to summarize as soon as this is near completion.
