A major bug has been fixed where Awaken would crash on launch and in general use for some people. Thanks go to “Sam” who reported the problem in a comment to the previous blog post and took some time out of his day to work with me in testing the fix for this.
One known bug exists now where there is a problem with the “wake from sleep” option when you have FileVault enabled on your account. I am in the process of fixing this and you can expect a fix posted here by the end of tomorrow as Beta 5.
If you would like to download the beta we ask that you report any bugs to support@embraceware.com, with Awaken 3 in the subject line. If a crash occurs - a copy of the crash report would be ideal.

When testing Awaken a great deal of time is used waiting for events to occur. In that time I redesigned the background image used for the Awaken disk image.

One nit-picky request… Any chance of getting a new remote icon for the prefs? It looks kind of dull with the other icons.

Hey guys - just an update on the FileVault bug. I had hoped to post the fix for that tonight (Nov 8th) - but I ran into 2am. I’ll have the fix available by the end of tomorrow (Nov 9).
