So about the shadow fading - it's cool that you noticed this in Disco. Long story - but here is the short version. Both Awaken 2.7 and Disco make use of a custom window UI - meaning you have to build it from scratch. Austin (Disco developer) and I ran into a common problem at the same time regarding the coding for the active/inactive shadow states. Once we found out how to build the shadows from scratch we had the flexibility of playing with some of the parameters, and from that - the idea of the shadow fading was born. I noticed Disco has it too... your idea or theirs? Can't wait for the release. The emergency alarm will be a lifesaver, expessially since iTunes sometimes refuses to open with my ipod attached.
